I would like to express many thanks and profound gratitude to Daryl Roth and Bonita Blazer, PhD. In the depths of my grief and fragility, Daryl, who is one of the most transformative people in New York City, stood by me, massaged me along, dispelled any feelings I had that my words and feelings were sophomoric. Daryl said, “You should self-publish, Emily.” I listened, did nothing. Dr. Bonita Blazer managed to reintroduce me to myself and live my words. Bonita, “the beautiful brutal,” held my feet to the fire. Would not take “no” for an answer.
